چکیده
This study was carried out on 114 Brown Swiss cattle reared in intensive conditions at Ataturk University Food and Livestock Application Research Center the private farm found Erzurum province. Genotypic structures were examined terms of Insulin-like growth factor (IGF)-II gene locus distribution genotypes allele frequencies concerning genes determined. The identified associated with milk yield traits such as actual yield, 305-day, daily yield. determined by using Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR)- Restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) method from blood samples taken cattle. CC, CT, TT genotype population 41 (34%), 65 (54%), 14 (12%), frequency C T to be 0.61 0.39. general averages true 305-day 4317±272.9 kg, 5277±240.7 kg 18±0.9 respectively, while CT 4168±515.8, 3756±321.7 5382±600.3 respectively. As a result, correctly IGF-II detected PCR-RFLP obtained Genotype for can considered sufficient demonstrate diversity race. According Hardy-Weinberg genetic equilibrium test, observed equilibrium.

association of single nucleotide polymorphism of stat1 gene with milk production traits in brown swiss cattle
this study was conducted to investigate the single nucleotide polymorphism of stat1 gene by pcr-rflp technique and association of genotypes with milk production traits in brown swiss dairy cattle. the blood samples of ninety eight cows were collected randomly from tail vein. the dna was extracted with cinagene kit (pr881612c). fragment of 314 bp of stat1 gene was amplified by pcr and digested b...
متن کاملPrediction of 305-day milk yield in Brown Swiss cattle using artificial neural networks
________________________________________________________________________________ Abstract Artificial neural networks (ANNs) have been shown to be a powerful tool for system modelling in a wide range of applications. In this paper, we focus on the capability of ANNs to predict 305-d milk yield in early lactation of Brown Swiss cattle, based on a few test-day records, and some environmental facto...
متن کاملthe effect of osteopontingene polymorphism on milk production traits in brown swiss cattle
osteopontin gene is located at the end of chromosome 6 in cattle and it is one of the most important genes influence on milk protein percentage and reproduction. in this study, blood samples were collected from100 brown swiss cows and dna was extracted from whole blood by modified salting out procedure. cows were genotyped for single nucleotide polymorphism of intron iv by pcr-rflp and bsri res...
متن کاملGenetic relationship between the lifetime milk production, longevity and first lactation milk yield in Slovenian Brown cattle breed
To study the genetic relationship between the lifetime milk production (LMP), first lactation milk yield (MY305), and length of productive life (PL) in the Slovenian Brown cattle population, first lactation records from 14,389 cows and lifetime performance records (LMP and PL) from 12,416 cows were used. Records of LMP and PL were normalised using the square root transformation of the raw value...
متن کاملCandidate gene association analysis for milk yield, composition, urea nitrogen and somatic cell scores in Brown Swiss cows.
The aim of this study was to investigate 96 single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) from 54 candidate genes, and test the associations of the polymorphic SNPs with milk yield, composition, milk urea nitrogen (MUN) content and somatic cell score (SCS) in individual milk samples from Italian Brown Swiss cows. Milk and blood samples were collected from 1271 cows sampled once from 85 herds. Milk pro...
